Summary/Objective

The Recruiting Specialist manages full-cycle recruiting efforts and ensures a seamless onboarding experience for new hires. This role partners with hiring managers and HR to attract top talent and support new employees.

Essential Functions

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles (sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination)
  • Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs and candidate qualifications
  • Screen applications and recommend qualified candidates for consideration
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews (phone, virtual, and in-person)
  • Track and report recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline activity, etc.)
  • Maintain and track candidate activity within the Applicant Tracking System (Workday)
  • Partner with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition for new hires into their roles
  • Manage onboarding processes for all new hires
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting and onboarding processes
  • Respond to candidate inquiries and provide updates on hiring status
  • Promote a positive employer brand and candidate experience

Supervisory Requirements

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

The employee regularly sits for long periods of time at a desk in front of a computer screen. The employee may occasionally be required to lift, push, pull, or carry objects; typically, when filing is needed.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in recruiting, HR, or talent acquisition
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related area
  • Ability to manage multiple openings in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
  • Extensive experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

Additional Eligibility Requirements

Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment.
