Recruiting & People Lead
About the role
We're hiring a Recruiting & People Lead to own talent and people operations across all of Duet. This is a foundational role at a company growing fast - you'll build and run the systems that bring great people in, set them up to succeed, and make Duet a place where they want to stay. You'll own end-to-end recruiting across every function, manage the day-to-day rhythm of our NYC office that’s in 3-4 days/week, and help shape the culture and programming that makes Duet feel like Duet.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting across all functions - clinical, operations, business development, technology, and everything in between
- Partner with hiring managers to define roles, build pipelines, and close strong candidates quickly
- Coordinate external search partners for senior or specialized searches when needed
- Represent Duet's brand and values at every touchpoint of the candidate experience
- Manage our PEO, including onboarding new hires, so everyone starts strong
- Own day-to-day HR processes: PTO, leaves, employee relations, policy questions, and compliance
- Support managers on performance conversations, documentation, and corrective action when needed
- Maintain accurate records in our HRIS and ensure we're running clean processes as we scale
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our NYC office - vendors, supplies, facilities, and the little things that make the space work
- Own logistics for company offsites, team dinners, and internal events
- Design and execute cultural programming that builds connection across a growing team
- Be the person who notices what needs to happen and makes it happen
Requirements
You've done it all: sourced candidates, closed offers, run onboarding, handled a difficult conversation, planned a team event
Strong executor - you don't wait to be told what to do, and you follow through
Organized and detail-oriented without being slow; you can manage competing priorities without dropping things
Clear, direct communicator who earns trust with candidates, employees, and leaders alike
Qualifications
5+ years in recruiting, people operations, or a generalist HR role - ideally at a high-growth startup
Someone who wants to grow - this role will expand as Duet does, and we want someone who's excited about that

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 plus equity
