Responsibilities
- Manage the New Store opening processes and timelines
- Ensure all critical deadlines and hiring requirements are met and any changes are effectively communicated and executed.
- Partner with New Store Operations, Training, Travel, Marketing and Public Relations to ensure new store opening success.
- Track, communicate and manage new store hiring.
- Review current new store hiring process and implement updates/improvements as necessary.
- Communicate impactful issues and problems that arise with new store hiring to Operations and HR leadership in a timely manner allowing for opportunity to course correct.
- Shares community and wage insights and concerns to leadership to eliminate obstacles and create solutions.
- Manage Recruiting Department projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in the department.
- Research, analyze and propose solutions.
- Partner with HR Project team to propose, review, and implement projects.
- Prepare executive summaries/proposals for leadership review.
- Formalize and oversee Recruiting Department Training.
- Develop formal recruiter training plans.
- Train newly hired recruiters and provide ongoing training development for the recruiting team.
- Assess progress against learning plans ensuring successful outcomes.
- Develop and train store and SSC (Store Support Center) leaders on recruiting, interviewing, selection best practices and internal processes.
- Ensure all internal candidates who apply for leadership positions receive timely and meaningful feedback.
- Supports and participates in hiring and selection process as required.
- Up to 35% travel required.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum six years of recruiting experience required.
- Minimum two years of retail operation leadership experience required.
- Proven track record in execution and management of projects; Project Management certification preferred.
- Experience developing and analyzing data to support execution of operation decisions and present to leadership.
- Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with multiple ATS and social media sourcing solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to translate and create an executive summary of analyzed data.
- Able to effectively write and present complex ideas and solutions to problems in a clear, concise manner to executive leadership.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office ATS and other sourcing platforms.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
