About You And The Role

This is not a traditional recruiting management role. You'll lead recruiting for many of the teams that make Zipline run—from Operations and Manufacturing to Finance, Legal, People, Workplace, Communications, Customer Success, and other critical business functions. Your job isn't simply to fill positions. Your job is to build a recruiting organization capable of hiring hundreds of extraordinary people while maintaining an uncompromising hiring bar. You'll partner directly with executives and senior leaders, influence organizational design, coach recruiters through complex searches, and continuously improve how we identify, assess, and close exceptional talent. You'll also build recruiting systems that scale. As Zipline grows, you'll help evolve our operating model, develop recruiting leaders, improve execution, and ensure every hiring manager receives world-class partnership. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves with urgency, raises the performance bar around them, and genuinely enjoys solving difficult talent problems.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the strategy and execution for Non-Technical Recruiting across SG&A or Operations.
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of recruiters while leading from the front.
  • Partner with executives and functional leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, and hiring strategy.
  • Personally engage on the company's highest-impact and most complex leadership searches.
  • Establish rigorous recruiting operating mechanisms, metrics, and inspection processes that improve hiring quality, speed, and predictability.
  • Raise hiring standards through structured interviewing, calibrated assessments, and exceptional talent evaluation.
  • Drive recruiter performance through coaching, data, accountability, and continuous development.
  • Build strong partnerships with Compensation, Finance, HR, Legal, and executive leadership to remove hiring bottlenecks.
  • Constantly improve recruiting processes using first-principles thinking rather than accepting existing ways of working.
  • Help scale Zipline's recruiting organization during one of the fastest growth periods in company history.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years of experience leading recruiting teams within a high-growth technology company.
  • 7+ years of experience hiring across a broad range of business functions, including SG&A, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Operations, or similar organizations.
  • Track record of building and scaling recruiting teams during periods of hypergrowth.
  • Experience partnering directly with executive leadership on strategic hiring initiatives.
  • Strong operational mindset with experience using recruiting metrics to improve execution.
  • Experience developing recruiters into high-performing talent advisors.
  • Ability to balance speed with exceptional hiring quality.
  • Experience with Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, GEM, Goodtime, Google Suite.

What Else You Need To Know

The starting cash range for this role is $170,000 - $240,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; overtime pay; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more.
