Business DevelopmentFull-time

About the Role

As a Recruiting Business Partner, you'll work directly with MRA member organizations across a variety of industries, serving as a consultative partner throughout the full recruiting cycle. You won't just fill jobs — you'll help members define what they're looking for, develop smart sourcing strategies, and serve as a trusted advisor along the way. Because this is an on-demand role, your workload will shift based on active member assignments. The ability to pick up new projects quickly, manage several at once, and pivot when priorities change is essential.

Please note: This is an on-demand role with no guaranteed hours. Assignments are project-based and vary in scope and duration — making it an ideal fit for an experienced recruiter who values flexibility over a predictable schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with member companies to define roles, qualifications, and hiring strategies
  • Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, social media, and professional networks
  • Screen and interview candidates using behavioral-based techniques
  • Translate job descriptions into compelling postings and develop effective interview tools
  • Research market compensation data and provide recommendations to hiring managers
  • Track recruiting activity and maintain clear, organized status reports and metrics
  • Stay current on recruiting best practices, employment law, and EEOC compliance
  • Identify opportunities to connect members with additional MRA services that support their broader HR needs

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recruiting or HR experience
  • A genuinely consultative approach — you listen well, ask good questions, and build relationships quickly
  • Proven ability to manage multiple open searches across different clients or industries simultaneously
  • Strong sourcing skills, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and social media recruiting
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and adapting quickly as priorities shift
  • Knowledge of EEOC and employment law compliance
  • A degree or HR/recruiting certifications (PHR, SPHR, CSSR, LinkedIn Recruiter) are a plus but not required
