About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Recruiter to join our team remotely. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition. The successful candidate will support our volunteer recruitment initiatives, helping to attract passionate individuals committed to our mission. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn about recruitment strategies, candidate sourcing, and stakeholder communication within a dynamic nonprofit environment. The position requires a flexible, project-based commitment with a focus on building foundational HR skills and contributing to our global educational impact.

Responsibilities

• Post and promote volunteer opportunities across various platforms
• Source potential volunteer candidates using Boolean search and other sourcing techniques
• Screen volunteer applications and conduct initial assessments
• Coordinate interview schedules and facilitate communication between candidates and team members
• Maintain accurate records of candidates and recruitment activities within ATS/CRM systems
• Support onboarding processes for new volunteers, including documentation and orientation
• Assist with future staff hiring initiatives as the organization grows
• Provide regular updates and feedback to candidates and internal stakeholders
• Contribute to the development of recruitment strategies and best practices

Qualifications

• Previous experience in HR, recruiting, or administrative roles preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Familiarity with ATS (Applicant Tracking System) or CRM systems
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for ethical AI, education, and youth empowerment
• Basic understanding of recruitment processes and candidate sourcing techniques
