About the role

Barron Industries, a trusted leader in aerospace and defense manufacturing since 1983, is seeking an Experienced House Recruiter to help us attract, engage, and hire top-tier talent across our growing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for high-demand roles including CNC Machinists, Welders, Quality Technicians, Engineers, and Production Supervisors
  • Sources candidates through appropriate job boards, trade schools, referrals, and creative outreach strategies
  • Pairs with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and define candidate profiles
  • Screens resumes, conducts interviews, coordinates onsite interviews, and facilitates onboarding
  • Manages job postings and candidate pipelines within our ATS
  • Builds relationships with technical schools, workforce agencies, and community partners
  • Manages apprenticeship program compliance
  • Promotes the company's culture and values to attract top talent
  • Develops long-term talent acquisition strategies and builds talent pipelines for future growth
  • Identifies support and resources for manufacturing skilled-trades talent development and recruitment

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience (manufacturing or skilled trades strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to fill hard-to-fill roles quickly and effectively
  • Strong sourcing skills and familiarity with job boards and recruiting tools
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting in aerospace, defense, or AS9100 environments
  • Familiarity with skilled trades such as CNC machining, welding, or quality inspection
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Knowledge of Michigan workforce programs (Michigan Works!, apprenticeships, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Understanding of industry-specific terminology and regulations
