About the role
Barron Industries, a trusted leader in aerospace and defense manufacturing since 1983, is seeking an Experienced House Recruiter to help us attract, engage, and hire top-tier talent across our growing operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for high-demand roles including CNC Machinists, Welders, Quality Technicians, Engineers, and Production Supervisors
- Sources candidates through appropriate job boards, trade schools, referrals, and creative outreach strategies
- Pairs with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and define candidate profiles
- Screens resumes, conducts interviews, coordinates onsite interviews, and facilitates onboarding
- Manages job postings and candidate pipelines within our ATS
- Builds relationships with technical schools, workforce agencies, and community partners
- Manages apprenticeship program compliance
- Promotes the company's culture and values to attract top talent
- Develops long-term talent acquisition strategies and builds talent pipelines for future growth
- Identifies support and resources for manufacturing skilled-trades talent development and recruitment
Requirements
- 3+ years of recruiting experience (manufacturing or skilled trades strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to fill hard-to-fill roles quickly and effectively
- Strong sourcing skills and familiarity with job boards and recruiting tools
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Experience recruiting in aerospace, defense, or AS9100 environments
- Familiarity with skilled trades such as CNC machining, welding, or quality inspection
- Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Knowledge of Michigan workforce programs (Michigan Works!, apprenticeships, etc.)
