Recruiter - Direct Labor
About the role
The Direct Labor Recruiter role is responsible for a variety of direct labor recruitment activities to ensure the organization's recruitment process is efficient, effective, and equitable. This position supports the recruiting for non-exempt positions such as Mechanical Assembly, Electrical Wiring, Welding, and Warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Prepare job advertisements, web postings, and job descriptions.
- Screen and shortlist candidates, liaise with agencies, and coordinate interviews.
- Respond to recruitment enquiries while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Contact candidates, arrange interviews, and develop plan for interview questions in collaboration with the hiring team.
- Conduct interviews, check references, and recommend candidates.
- Provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
- Prepare job offer materials.
- Represent the organization at job fairs and recruitment venues.
- Ensure compliance with external regulations (OFCCP, EEOC) and internal policies/procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an HR-related function.
- Minimum 2 years of HR-related work experience (recruiting experience highly preferred).
- Microsoft Office and Workday (or Applicant Tracking System) experience required.
- Knowledge of research and sourcing skills – including use of Boolean, LinkedIn, and alternative search methods.
- Ability to identify top performers and determine cultural fit.
- Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects & candidates.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to network and collaborate in a team environment.

- Experience in a similar role within the last 2 years.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and recruitment processes.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Workday (or Applicant Tracking System).
- Experience with LinkedIn and other professional networking tools.
