Position Summary
The Recruiter plays a key role in consulting, sourcing and recruiting of mid- to senior-level positions. This role demonstrates a "talent hunter" mentality in sourcing, engaging, and maintaining diverse pipelines by marketing Xcel Energy as an employer of choice while developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies that reflect a strong understanding of the business and market.
Essential Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Research and develop diverse talent pipelines based on anticipated needs and guidance from business leaders.
- Initiate and sustain strategic, multi-channel conversations with external audiences to drive to passive and engaged candidates to Xcel Energy.
- Network and build long-lasting stakeholder relationships.
- Business Relationships: Develop strong business acumen and create deep relationships with business areas. Provide consultation that demonstrates knowledge of the business and understanding of the talent market.
- Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement recruiting strategies and plans. Utilize data and analytics to measure success and pivot as needed to improve productivity and cost effectiveness.
- Recruitment: Accountable for full life cycle recruiting for entry, mid, and senior level roles. Effectively partner with stakeholders and utilize sourcing techniques. Clearly define and drive tactics and timeline for sourcing, service, assessment, selection. Partner with team and stakeholders to ensure a seamless flow of service to the customer internal and external.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop best practices and foster idea generation to drive continuous improvement efforts. Support the team in learning, education of TA practices and process knowledge with the TA organization. Assist in coordinating Xcel Energy TA programs, and other duties as assigned.
- Analytics: Utilize data tools and metrics to track and drive actions to improve candidate and hiring leader experience, service standards, and personal performance. Pivot as needed to improve productivity and cost effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or a combination of education and experience).
- 3-5 years' experience in full cycle recruitment (direct sourcing, corporate recruitment) including consultative partnership with business leaders to define talent needs.
- Ability to travel occasionally and commute to events and company locations as needed.
- Experience developing and implementing recruitment plans and strategies (diverse talent pools).
- Prior Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of EEO and Affirmative Action.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment law.
- Demonstrated knowledge of TA metrics and how they influence each level of the recruiting funnel.
Preferred Requirements
- 1+ years of experience on the Xcel Energy Talent Acquisition team.
