About the role
WaterBridge is seeking a Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring across corporate and field organizations. The Recruiter partners with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, HR, IT, and executive management, and represents WaterBridge externally with candidates, universities, staffing partners, and local communities. Position is based in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle corporate & technical recruiting: run intake meetings, screen and assess candidates, present slates, coordinate interview loops, drive hiring decisions, manage offers with HR/Totals Rewards.
- Deliver high-volume field operations hiring for operators, technicians, drivers, electricians, mechanics, and facility/construction crews; partner with field leadership to anticipate headcount needs tied to asset build‑out and commissioning.
- Build local talent pipelines in the Permian Basin and other operating markets via job fairs, trade schools, community partnerships, and referral programs.
- Manage pre‑employment requirements (background checks, drug/alcohol screening, MVR, fit‑for‑duty) with HR and HSE.
- Diagnose field hiring bottlenecks before they become staffing shortfalls.
- Proactively source passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, industry networks, and direct outreach.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and hard‑to‑fill roles.
- Strengthen employer brand through job postings, outreach messaging, careers content, campus and association engagement.
- Manage relationships with staffing and search partners (scope, cost, performance).
- Ensure compliance with EEO, OFCCP, ADA, FCRA, I‑9, E‑Verify and other federal/state/local employment regulations; maintain accurate ATS/HRIS records.
- Deliver a professional, responsive candidate experience from first contact through onboarding handoff.
- Support annual and quarterly headcount planning with HR, Finance, and business unit leadership; provide pipeline and hiring updates to management.
- Create reports, KPIs, and dashboards to improve source effectiveness, offer acceptance, and open‑role status; contribute data‑driven insights to workforce planning.
- Advise hiring managers on market conditions, compensation benchmarks, and realistic trade‑offs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field; equivalent recruiting experience considered.
- Minimum five years of full‑cycle recruiting experience (in‑house or agency), including direct sourcing of passive candidates.
- Experience recruiting for both corporate/professional and field/hourly populations.
- Ability to manage high‑volume requisition load and competing priorities without sacrificing candidate quality.
- Working knowledge of employment law and hiring compliance (EEO, ADA, FCRA, I‑9).
- Experience partnering with and influencing senior hiring managers and executives.
- Proficiency with an applicant tracking system and LinkedIn Recruiter or comparable sourcing tools.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; comfort building recruiting reports and working with BI tools (Power BI or Spotfire).
- Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
- Preferred: recruiting experience in energy, oil & gas, midstream, water infrastructure, utilities, or industrial construction.
- Preferred: experience hiring in Houston, TX, Permian Basin, or other West Texas/New Mexico markets.
- Preferred: experience supporting hiring for rapidly growing or newly built organizations, including greenfield facility staffing.
