Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for hourly and salaried positions, including field operations roles
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and job requirements
- Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract candidates in competitive labor markets
- Sources candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and industry networks
- Screens resumes and conducts phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications
- Cohort interviews and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams
- Maintain a strong pipeline of skilled trades and equipment operator candidates
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill and cost-per-hire
- Occasionally travel to job sites, career fairs, or hiring events as needed
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and company hiring practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in construction, mining, or industrial sectors
- Experience recruiting for skilled trades or heavy equipment roles preferred
- Strong sourcing and networking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple open requisitions in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms
- Experience in high-volume or field-based recruiting
- Familiarity with mining or construction workforce challenges
- Ability to travel to remote job sites
- HR or recruiting certifications (SHRM, PHR, etc.)
