About the role

We are seeking an execution-focused Lead Epic Human Resources/Talent Acquisition Partner to drive high-volume recruitment and HR operations for Project Nova, our major Epic implementation. This individual will own the hiring lifecycle from proactive sourcing, scheduling interviews, coaching hiring managers on the hiring process, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience through the hire date. The role also acts as a versatile Human Resources Generalist, supporting broader HR initiatives such as compensation structures, market equity, benefits, and training as needed by the Director HRBP.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and source full-time candidates and contractors, schedule interviews, conduct screenings, coordinate candidate debrief meetings, and shepherd candidates to their start date.
  • Act as the subject matter expert to recruit for highly specialized Epic roles, including Beaker, Resolute, Cadence & Prelude, HIM, Ambulatory, MyChart, Bridges, Security, Care Everywhere, Epic Care Link, Cogito, Business Intelligence Developers, and ECS Analysts.
  • Measure time-to-hire metrics and reduce the time it takes for candidates to be hired; identify and eliminate bottlenecks to minimize delays.
  • Leverage robust, pre-existing connections with Epic talent and Epic vendor partners to tap into passive talent pools.
  • Develop a strong candidate pipeline to meet talent demands through the project lifecycle using engaging recruitment strategies.
  • Analyze market data and evaluate internal equity to formulate compelling compensation packages.
  • Develop a deep understanding of benefits and total rewards offerings to effectively educate, pitch, and secure critical hires.
  • Deploy screening and monitoring strategies to proactively reduce dual employment conflicts among candidates and contractors.
  • Ensure internal candidates are connected to training managers for required Epic certifications and manage transition timelines with current managers.
  • Utilize a system for tracking pipeline activity and relationship status, sharing work openly with the team.
  • Provide proactive and clear communication of updates to hiring managers, including escalations to the Director HRBP.
  • Coach hiring managers to recruit with speed and decisiveness while ensuring a flawless candidate experience.
  • Understand the critical skills required for each Epic application module and map candidate competencies to complement existing staff.
  • Stay updated on Epic application changes, industry trends, and leverage AI tools to optimize talent sourcing and recruitment.
  • Demonstrate a relentless drive for results and put in the necessary time to meet aggressive Project Nova staffing deadlines.

Requirements

  • College degree in computer science, information science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of high-volume, highly successful Epic recruitment experience within a hospital system or diagnostics organization.
  • 2+ large-scale Epic implementations supported with proven success in proactive, passive sourcing.
  • Established network of strong relationships with Epic professionals and vendor partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate successfully without schedulers or administrative coordinators.
  • Willingness to work overtime and non-standard hours to secure critical hires.
  • Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience utilizing AI tools to optimize sourcing and recruitment processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of professional stakeholder management.
  • Background handling core Human Resources generalist work, specifically in compensation structures, market benchmarking, and benefits.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Unwavering focus on hitting hiring targets and overcoming obstacles.
  • Process management and agility to improve processes, eliminate waste, and deal with ambiguity.
  • Flawless organization skills, capable of juggling high requisition loads without dropping the ball.
  • Ability to measure candidate flow and time-to-hire to continuously improve.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
