Recruiter
About the role
Join our growing Madison, WI team as a recruiter. In this role, you'll work with our tenured recruiting team to source, evaluate, and onboard talent for placement with local client partners. You'll collaborate closely with clients to develop tailored recruitment strategies and support candidates throughout the hiring process. This is a full-time position based in our Madison office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per month.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and evaluate candidates for a variety of positions across many industries
- Partner with clients to determine talent acquisition objectives, write job descriptions, and develop recruitment strategies
- Build talent pipelines using internal databases, job boards, community organizations, social media, networking, and proactive outreach
- Guide candidates through the client interview, offer, and onboarding process, offering coaching as needed
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding candidate progress, hiring timelines, and market insights
- Support employees on assignment through check-ins, issue resolution, and ongoing relationship management
- Complete background checks, employment verifications, skills assessments, and other pre-employment activities
- Maintain accurate records in our internal systems
- Stay current on local hiring trends, compensation, and workforce conditions
- Represent Spherion at hiring events, networking opportunities, and community events
Requirements
- Prior recruiting and/or business development experience is a plus, but not required
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving targets
- Quick to learn and navigate technology and recruiting tools
- Detail-oriented with consistent follow-through
- Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
