We are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Recruiting Coordinator to lead caregiver recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts for our growing home care organization in San Antonio. This is more than a recruiting role. You will play a direct part in building a team of compassionate caregivers who help seniors remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their homes. Pay
$20-22.00 per hour
What You'll Do
- Source, attract, and engage qualified caregiver candidates through Indeed, job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and community partnerships
- Maintain a strong candidate pipeline to support ongoing hiring needs
- Conduct interviews
- Review applications, assess qualifications, and guide candidates through the hiring process
- Attend job fairs, recruiting events, nursing schools, and community outreach opportunities
- Develop creative recruiting strategies to attract top talent in a competitive labor market
- Manage job postings and ensure positions are effectively marketed
- Coordinate pre-employment processes including background screenings, reference checks, and documentation
- Conduct new hire orientation classes
- Maintain accurate employee files and onboarding records
- Support caregiver training programs and compliance requirements
- Ensure all hiring and onboarding activities follow applicable employment laws and company policies
- Support employee recognition and retention initiatives
- Build strong relationships with caregivers throughout their employment journey
- Help create a positive employee experience from recruitment through ongoing engagement
- Partner with operations and scheduling teams to ensure smooth caregiver placement and communication
- Track recruiting metrics and hiring progress
- Assist with recruiting budgets and hiring initiatives
- Maintain recruiting systems, reports, and databases
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recruiting or talent acquisition
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization, time management, and follow-through
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology platforms
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally for recruiting activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting for healthcare, home care, staffing, senior care, or service industries
- Experience conducting new hire orientation and employee onboarding
- Associate's degree
Schedule
- Full-Time Monday-Friday
- Occasional evenings or weekends for recruiting events as needed
- Local travel within the San Antonio area required. Mileage reimbursement at standard IRS mileage rate.
