Recreational Therapy Assistant (Broughton Hospital)
About the role
Broughton Hospital is hiring multiple Licensed Recreational Therapy Assistants (LRTA) for our Recreational Therapy team. The LRTA will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating recreational therapy services under the clinical supervision of our Licensed Recreational Therapists.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating recreational therapy services
- Aiding in the implementation of treatment plans using interventions that improve functionality based on physician orders
- Monitoring patients and documenting their progress
- Supporting treatment team goals and providing group and individual services
- Communicating effectively in oral and written form
- Maintaining positive working relationships with patients, professionals, and the community
Requirements
- Licensed as a Recreational Therapy Assistant as required by the North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy
Qualifications
Graduation from an associate degree program in recreational therapy or therapeutic recreation. Candidates with psychiatric experience and/or internship in a psychiatric setting are preferred.

Pay
Recruitment Range: $34,066.00 - $51,099.00
Schedule
Currently Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. However, the work schedule could change due to needs of the patient population.
