Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and evaluate quality recreation therapy (RT) treatment programs for adults with co-occurring diagnoses based on an individual assessment of needs, interest, abilities and referrals from the physician.
- Provide non-medical diagnostic services and rehabilitative treatment for each patient referred with appropriate documentation of patient progress and participation in RT groups.
- Act as the RT representative to the assigned unit.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and implement interventions to improve life skills, enhancing quality of life and function of referred patients.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice recreational therapy by the North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy.
