Recreational Therapist - PRN

About the role

The Recreational Therapist (CTRS) provides patient evaluation, therapy programming, and documentation within inpatient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' leisure functioning.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate age-appropriate activities, including community involvement, group, and individual therapies, with family participation.
• Adapt activities and equipment as needed.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic procedures.
• Supervise students.
• Contribute to program development.
• Provide clinical training and resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Registration or eligibility as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.
• CPR certification.
• Physical ability to lift and assist patients.
