Role Overview

As a Home-Based Recreational Therapist, you will design and implement activities that improve seniors' mental engagement, cognitive function, and social interaction. From art, music, and crafts to gentle exercise and games, you will create programs that encourage joy, connection, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess clients' interests, abilities, and therapy goals.
• Develop individualized recreational programs tailored to each senior's needs.
• Facilitate activities that promote mental stimulation, creativity, and socialization.
• Track client progress and adjust activities to optimize benefits.
• Collaborate with caregivers and families to support sustained engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field.
• Certification as a CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) preferred.
• Experience working with older adults or in a home health setting.
• Creativity, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
