About the role
VMSSolution is seeking a Recreational Therapist for a client located in Lancaster, CA.
Responsibilities
- Provide recreational therapy services to clients as per their treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement therapeutic activities.
- Evaluate client progress and adjust activities accordingly.
- Document client progress and activities in accordance with clinical standards.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures related to patient care.
Requirements
- Current California license to practice as a Recreational Therapist.
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
