About the role

As a Recreational Therapist at WellBridge Healthcare Fort Worth, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based activity services to patients hospitalized for substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric or emotional disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide activity services.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs medically approved activity programs.
  • Affirms patient needs utilizing cultural, religious, and physical disabilities.
  • Assesses patient needs and develops a plan of care with specific goals and interventions.
  • Provides therapy treatment procedures and reassesses treatment plans based on patient condition.
  • Contributes to treatment planning and provides feedback to clinical and program staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in Recreational Therapy (CTRS), Music Therapy (MT-BC), Art Therapy (ATR, ATR-BC, ATR-P, LPAT) or similar field.
  • Current unencumbered certification/license/registration required per state of practice guidelines.
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
  • CPR and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.

  • Knowledge of various therapeutic activities and their applications.

Pay

The base compensation for this position is competitive and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
