About the role

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital at OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital Joint venture/Partnership/Affiliation with Select Medical is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals with various medical conditions including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements appropriate recreation activities for patients in accordance with guidelines set by the organization, hospital, and the profession.
• Provides therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned caseload.
• Ensures all patients are oriented to recreation therapy and provides hospital-wide leisure, social, and divergent programs.
• Serves as an educator to patients on community resources.

Requirements

• Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
