About the role

Provides therapeutic recreation services to individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements recreational programs that meet the needs of clients.
• Assesses clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities to tailor activities.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans.
• Monitors clients' progress and adjusts programs as necessary.
• Ensures all activities are safe and appropriate for the clients' abilities.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Recreational Therapist in California.
• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic recreation techniques.
• Ability to adapt activities to accommodate different levels of ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
