Recreational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group recreational therapy sessions
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans
• Collaborate with staff to integrate therapeutic recreation into care plans
• Communicate effectively with participants and their families
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
• Maintain and manage therapeutic recreation equipment
• Advocate for the benefits of therapeutic recreation
• Stay current with industry best practices and advancements
• Facilitate therapeutic programs and assist in care planning
• Promote awareness of the benefits of recreational therapy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification
• Two years of relevant experience in recreational therapy
• Knowledge of rehabilitative techniques and practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
