Recreational Chef Instructor
About the Role
We are seeking experienced chef instructors to teach live, in-person recreational cooking, pastry, mixology, and wine tasting classes. This opportunity is available for chefs who have access to a venue (such as their own home, a restaurant, commercial kitchen, or event space) or who are interested in teaching in one of CocuSocial's partner venues (restaurants, hotels, breweries, event spaces). The location where you intend to host your classes must be within 40 minutes driving distance of the city.
CocuSocial Chef Instructors can expect flexible scheduling, the opportunity to teach recipes and dishes they're passionate about, a supportive team to assist in creating best-selling classes, and compensation based on a revenue-sharing model (where the more people you can accommodate translates to higher earning potential).
Responsibilities
- Lead and organize the entire class, including purchasing ingredients
- Set up the venue according to social distancing guidelines
- Teach each dish step-by-step in a hands-on manner
- Clean up after the class
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience teaching recreational cooking classes
- Passion for sharing cooking knowledge and helping others learn
- Ability to teach popular international dishes such as Sushi, Dumplings, Pad Thai, Handmade Pasta, Pizza, Paella, Tapas, French Macaron, or French Pastry
- If teaching in your own space, the venue/home must accommodate at least 6 people (indoor and/or outdoor)
