About the role
The Recreation Therapist will provide therapeutic recreation services to patients.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement recreational activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive health.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Assess patient progress and adjust activities accordingly.
- Document patient progress and activity sessions accurately.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in recreation therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or a related field.
- Current certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
- Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
