RECREATION THERAPIST I-II(Job Id 52325)
About the role
The New Hampshire Veterans Home is seeking a full-time, 1st shift Recreational Therapist I-II. The schedule includes 8:00am - 4:30pm shifts, varying weekends (additional $2.00/hour), and varying holidays.
Responsibilities
- To implement and review recreational therapy activities in order to promote the constructive use of leisure time, physical well-being, and socialization of patients/clients/residents.
- To provide recreational therapy review and evaluation and to develop and implement recreational therapy treatment programs in the New Hampshire Veterans Home.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
- Licenses/Certifications: National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) and authorization to use the initials of CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist); Recreational Therapist license valid in NH.
- Other Requirements: None.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 5 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Must include at least 1 year working as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
