Recreation Therapist

About the role

We are seeking full-time Recreation Therapists to join a dedicated team, providing therapeutic recreational and activity services to adolescents and adults.

Responsibilities

• Implement evidence-based interventions to improve cognitive, emotional, and social functioning through recreational therapy
• Perform clinical assessments and interpret results to develop tailored activity treatment plans
• Maintain thorough clinical and administrative documentation, including assessments and treatment plans
• Ensure confidentiality in accordance with laws and policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Minimum of one year of recreation therapy experience (behavioral health experience preferred)
• Current certification by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation (CTRS)
• Licensure by the North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy (LRT)
