Recreation Therapist

About the role

The primary focus of this position is to provide therapeutic interventions to patients within the recreation therapy department.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Document patient interactions and progress in accordance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in recreation therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or a related field.
• Current certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
• At least two years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic computer literacy.

Pay

Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually.
