Recreation Therapist
About the role
Bethany Riverside in La Crosse offers an exciting opportunity for a Recreation Therapist. This position involves planning and leading group programs, assisting with outings, visiting residents individually, coordinating volunteer duties, managing a resident caseload, conducting assessments, writing notes and care plans, and performing other duties as directed by the Director of Recreation Therapy.
Responsibilities

- Maintain a caseload of residents and corresponding paperwork
- Perform assessments and write notes and care plans
- Perform other job duties as assigned
Requirements
- Enthusiastic and high energy individual with flexible communication and organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills and a desire to work with the aging population
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy/Therapeutic Recreation required
- CTRS certification required
- Ability to work well on a team and independently
- Knowledge with MDS, quarterly notes, and experience working with older adults in long-term care preferred
- Valid Driver’s License and responsible driving record required

Pay
Starting rate is between $17 and $20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. We will review your wage at six months.
Schedule
Shift times are typically 8:00am-4:30pm. This position participates in one weekend per month and rotating holidays.
Pay Period
80 hours per two-week pay period.
