Recreation Specialist-Fitness/Wellness

The Office Systems Coordinator I provides technical assistance to Public Defender staff by supporting and coordinating tasks related to office automation systems. They evaluate system designs and litigation/case management systems, liaise with IT Services technical and programming staff, and interface between staff and system design (VCIJIS) to determine user needs and assist with system enhancements.

• Evaluate system designs and litigation/case management systems
• Liaison with IT Services technical and programming staff
• Interface between staff and system design (VCIJIS) to determine user needs and assist with system enhancements
• Coordinate software product and hardware configuration to ensure smooth operation of scanning, data storage, and retrieval systems
• Aid in vendor liaison, coordinate technical evaluations of products, and procure products
• Assist management in establishing priorities and planning automation needs
• Responsible for Website maintenance and improvement
• Prepare for future electronic discovery
• Train department personnel on automated office systems use
• Troubleshoot department problems associated with automated office systems, conduct occasional maintenance and repair of department equipment, and refer unresolved issues to IT Services
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Some experience in automated office systems coordination leading to the acquisition of required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Completion of pertinent office systems coursework with two or more years of related experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the business function and workflow of the Public Defender’s office
• Maintain a valid, unrestricted (with the exception of corrective lenses) California Driver License
