The City of Goodyear is seeking highly motivated individuals to work as Group Fitness Instructors at the Goodyear Recreation Campus. This is a part-time position, and the ideal candidate will possess good customer service, strong communication skills, be positive, friendly and able to teach high-quality group fitness classes. Essential Functions Monitor participants and their ability to ensure proper use of equipment and techniqueInstruct group fitness classes by developing class content appropriate to the class description and levelEnsure effective preparation for each class music and equipment Monitor proper clothing/shoes of participantsProvide a safe and fun class environmentAttend all trainings and meetings to ensure quality operationsDemonstrate strong communication skills, be out-going, and enjoy building relationships with a variety of peopleProvide information and answer questions about available programsEnforce all rules that pertain to group fitness on a constant basisObserve all safety rules and regulations Requirements Must possess and maintain current certifications for the specific class format hired to teachMust have the ability to instruct with proficiencyExperience leading various groups of people with different fitness abilitiesOne-year experience teaching group fitness classes preferredCurrent state approved CPR/AED and First Aid CertificationConsistently meet participation requirementsMust teach approved number of classes per month or more Sick leave hours will be provided based upon hours worked. 01 Please list your current certifications for the formats you would be eligible to teach: 02 Please describe your experience with leading various groups of people with different fitness capabilities: 03 Do you have at least 1 year of experience teaching group fitness classes?
