About the role
We are seeking a Recreation Director to join our team. The position offers a competitive salary range of $25-$27 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, organize and direct the implementation of activity/recreation programs in accordance with current state and federal guidelines and regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
- Design programs based on comprehensive assessments, individual interests, and the physical, mental, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the overall quality of care and support the mission of the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience working with an adult population in healthcare settings, delivering activity therapy.
- Flexible with the ability to adapt to change.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license, clear DMV record, and insurability under the company's insurance policy.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language to perform essential job functions.
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to long-term care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college (Nice to have).
- Certification or training in therapeutic recreation (Nice to have).
- Supervisory experience (Nice to have).
- Previous experience in Skilled Nursing environments (Nice to have).
