Recreation Director

About the role

We are seeking a Recreation Director to join our team. The position offers a competitive salary range of $25-$27 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, organize and direct the implementation of activity/recreation programs in accordance with current state and federal guidelines and regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
  • Design programs based on comprehensive assessments, individual interests, and the physical, mental, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the overall quality of care and support the mission of the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience working with an adult population in healthcare settings, delivering activity therapy.
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to change.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, clear DMV record, and insurability under the company's insurance policy.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language to perform essential job functions.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to long-term care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college (Nice to have).
  • Certification or training in therapeutic recreation (Nice to have).
  • Supervisory experience (Nice to have).
  • Previous experience in Skilled Nursing environments (Nice to have).

Compensation for roles varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
