About the Role

The Recreation Assistant will provide activities of a physical, mental, and spiritual nature tailored to the individual abilities, needs, and desires of those we serve in order to enable them to enjoy the highest quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement recreational activities for residents in a long-term care and dementia care setting.
• Tailor activities to individual abilities, needs, and preferences.
• Work a minimum of two shifts monthly, including weekends.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Minimum one year of experience in long-term care and/or dementia care preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
• Flu vaccine required during flu season.

Pay

$19.00 hourly rate.

Schedule

• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
• Part-time, minimum of two shifts monthly including weekends.

About the Team

Parker at Monroe nursing care residence provides nursing and memory care services to individuals with all stages of dementia, who may also have complex physical needs. The campus consists of six "small homes," each housing sixteen elders with similar needs. The homes and programs are designed to promote independence, dignity, and a sense of community. As an Eden Alternative® registered home, Parker transforms long-term care environments into person-centered communities offering varied and meaningful activities.
