Position Details
- Schedule: Tuesday through Friday | 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Saturday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Pay Rate: Starting at $20.70 per hour, with opportunities to earn up to $24.70 per hour

Essential Responsibilities
- Support individuals with disabilities during recreational programs, social activities, and community-based events.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of activities designed to encourage participation, relationship-building, and community involvement.
- Aid in coordinating group outings, special events, fitness activities, arts and crafts, cooking programs, and other recreational experiences.
- Provide transportation to and from activities using agency vehicles when required.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants while providing supervision and support during all activities.
- Encourage social interaction, self-confidence, and active engagement among individuals served.
- Serve as a positive role model while promoting inclusion, respect, and person-centered supports.
- Assist with scheduling, event preparation, activity implementation, and overall program coordination.
- Provide guidance and support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) participating in recreational programming.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with supervisors, staff members, and families as needed.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while taking initiative and solving problems effectively.
Experience planning and leading recreational activities, social programs, or community events.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Experience mentoring or supporting staff members preferred.
Commitment to creating positive and meaningful experiences for individuals with disabilities.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- A valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing is required, with no more than five (5) points.
- Demonstrated employment stability preferred, including at least one (1) year with a previous employer.
