Responsibilities

  • Issue, receive, and take reservations for recreational equipment and facilities to authorized users, including campers, trailers, and small-item camping equipment.
  • Clean and repair recreation equipment and facility areas.
  • Operate equipment and perform self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment.
  • Test mechanical equipment for serviceability after each use.
  • Collect applicable fees for items issued, account for monies collected, safeguard funds, and make daily bank deposits.
  • Coordinate with program staff to ensure adequate equipment is available in sufficient time to conduct programmed activities.
  • Arrange furniture and equipment for various types and sizes of events, including set-up and tear-down of special event equipment.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have and retain a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Resumes must clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties described above.
  • Minimum of one year working in a customer service environment (highly preferred).
  • Previous experience working as a mechanic and/or knowledge of standard automobiles and recreational vehicle mechanics (highly preferred).

Applicants meeting the highly preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the highly preferred list.
