Recreation Aide

Responsibilities

• Lead a variety of recreational activities such as games, exercise, arts & crafts, special events
• Encourage and assist residents to participate in activities, providing individual support as needed
• Set up and clean up activity areas and equipment
• Transport residents to and from activities
• Document resident participation and progress
• Cookinate with other staff to ensure a positive resident experience
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work with seniors and understand their needs
• Creativity and Enthusiasm
• Physical ability to assist with activities and transport residents
• Experience with activities in a healthcare setting is a plus
