Recreation Aid NF-01
This position is located at Sports & Fitness on Fort Gordon. The position may also be selected for other locations within the Recreation Operations Division.
This job is open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation are also eligible.
Responsibilities
- Issues tools, equipment, and games to authorized customers.
- Checks identification, collects fees when appropriate, and completes documentation.
- Receives returned items, inspecting for damage and missing parts.
- Assists in directing patrons, scheduling the use of courts, lanes, and equipment in a recreation facility.
- Participates in and directs games and social events.
- Decorates party rooms and maintains cleanliness of assigned work areas.
- Demonstrates simple techniques in arts and crafts programs.
- Provides facility and program information to patrons.
- Assists with simple repair and maintenance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2.
- Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see www.sss.gov).
- Position, duty hours, location, and/or activity are subject to change based on mission requirements.
Qualifications
No work experience is required. This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
Pay
This is a pay-banded position (NF or CY).
- Sunday Premium Pay: If authorized by the Garrison Commander, Sunday premium pay is 25% of the basic rate for all non-overtime hours worked on Sunday (up to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Only regular employees (full-time, part-time, limited tenure, and seasonal) may receive this pay.
- Night Differential: If authorized by the Garrison Commander, night differential is 10% of the basic rate for non-overtime hours worked between 1800-0600.
Incentives, overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
