About the role

This position is located at the Golf Course which is a part of Fort Benning Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR).

Duties

• Act as Starter/Marshall, assuring tee sheets run on time, maximum usage of available tee times by pairing singles, twosomes, and threesomes, and assisting golfers in need of playing partners.
• Keep flow of play moving on the golf course, and assist customers look for lost balls to keep play moving.
• Assist in pulling up and staging the golf cart fleet for play, and assist in washing and parking fleet when no longer needed for the day.
• May assist in picking driving range.
• Provide facility and program information to patrons.
• Assist with simple repair and maintenance.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less) and clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. No experience is required.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• Position, duty hours, location and/or activity are subject to change based on mission requirements.
• Work hours may involve weekend, weekdays, holidays and night duty.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
