Recreation Activity Assistant / Full Time

About the Role

NHC Hendersonville is seeking a Recreation/Activities Assistant to help provide therapeutic programs tailored to each patient's individual needs, fostering an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment. The ideal candidate will be creative, energetic, and knowledgeable about the domains of wellness as they relate to programming in long-term care. Your goal is to deliver daily meaningful activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a well-rounded wellness program for Long Term Care, Memory Care, or Rehab patients as assigned (includes some weekend and/or holiday hours).
• Complete assessments, care plans, and associated paperwork in a timely manner.
• Ensure all local, state, and federal guidelines regarding programming are met.
• Bring creativity and fun to activities and programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Self-motivated, creative, with a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm.
• Ability to work effectively with family members, partners, and the community.

Skills

• Strong communication and time management.
• Ability to collaborate as a team player and work with other departments to build staff morale.
• Basic typing and computer skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Publisher for producing monthly calendars, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
• Knowledge of the domains of wellness as they relate to long-term care programming.
