Recreation Activity Assistant / Full Time

About the role

NHC Hendersonville is seeking a Recreation / Activities Assistant to join their team. This position involves assisting in providing therapeutic programs tailored to meet each patient's individual needs, fostering an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive wellness program for Long Term Care, Memory Care, or Rehab patients as assigned (including weekends and holidays)
• Timely completion of assessments, care plans, and associated paperwork
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines regarding programming
• Bring 'fun' to the workplace
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Self-motivated, creative with a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm
• Ability to work with family members, partners, and the community
• High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

• A desire to work with seniors
• A compassionate and caring nature
• Knowledge of the domains of wellness as they relate to programming in long-term care
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Basic typing and computer skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Word and Publisher for creating monthly calendars and newsletters
