About the role

The Recovery Support Specialist I & II provides support services to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. The role involves facilitating access to resources, coordinating care, and providing emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate access to community resources and treatment options
• Coordinate care plans with healthcare providers and other professionals
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals in recovery
• Assist with daily living activities and medication management
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience working with individuals in recovery from substance use disorders
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Passing a background check and drug screening

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of addiction recovery programs and resources
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
