Recovery Support Specialist - Children's

About the role

This position performs a wide range of tasks to assist our facility consumers in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. This position requires that the applicant possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS staff and consumers.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies and procedures related to consumer safety and privacy.
  • Assist consumers in developing and implementing individualized recovery plans.
  • Provide support and guidance to consumers in navigating the mental health system and accessing necessary resources.
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to build relationships with consumers and community partners.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss progress and challenges with consumers.
  • Document all interactions and progress notes in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

  • Currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for supporting individuals in their journey towards recovery.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Knowledge of mental health recovery principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

  • Sr. Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $38,000.00 ($18.26/hr) plus benefits!
  • Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $34,500.00 ($16.58/hr) plus benefits!
  • Recovery Support Specialist: $30,000.00 ($14.42/hr) plus benefits!

Schedule

  • Work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity.
  • Employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.
