About the role
This position performs a wide range of tasks to assist our facility consumers in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. This position requires that the applicant possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS staff and consumers.
Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies and procedures related to consumer safety and privacy.
- Assist consumers in developing and implementing individualized recovery plans.
- Provide support and guidance to consumers in navigating the mental health system and accessing necessary resources.
- Conduct outreach and engagement activities to build relationships with consumers and community partners.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss progress and challenges with consumers.
- Document all interactions and progress notes in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
- Currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for supporting individuals in their journey towards recovery.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Knowledge of mental health recovery principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
- Sr. Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $38,000.00 ($18.26/hr) plus benefits!
- Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $34,500.00 ($16.58/hr) plus benefits!
- Recovery Support Specialist: $30,000.00 ($14.42/hr) plus benefits!
Schedule
- Work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity.
- Employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.
