Recovery Support Specialist - Children's

About the role

This position performs a wide range of tasks to assist our facility consumers in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. This position requires that the applicant possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS staff and consumers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of client information
• Provide support and encouragement to clients in their recovery process
• Assist clients in accessing community resources
• Document client progress and interactions
• Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans

Requirements

• Currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist
• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery

Qualifications

• Sr. Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: Two years of PRSS experience
• Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: No prior experience required
• Recovery Support Specialist: Demonstrated personal knowledge or advocacy in recovery

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health recovery principles

Pay

• Senior Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $38,000.00 ($18.26/hr)
• Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $34,500.00 ($16.58/hr)
• Recovery Support Specialist: $30,000.00 ($14.42/hr)

Schedule

• Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result
• Work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity
• Employees may be required to work weekends and overtime
