About the role
This position performs a wide range of tasks to assist our facility consumers in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. This position requires that the applicant possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS staff and consumers.
Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of client information
- Provide support and encouragement to clients in their recovery process
- Assist clients in accessing community resources
- Document client progress and interactions
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
Requirements
- Currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery
Qualifications
- Sr. Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: Two years of PRSS experience
- Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: No prior experience required
- Recovery Support Specialist: Demonstrated personal knowledge or advocacy in recovery
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health recovery principles

Pay
- Senior Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $38,000.00 ($18.26/hr)
- Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $34,500.00 ($16.58/hr)
- Recovery Support Specialist: $30,000.00 ($14.42/hr)
Schedule
- Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result
- Work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity
- Employees may be required to work weekends and overtime
