Responsibilities
- Support and supervise residents by providing positive role modeling and assisting with daily routines.
- Monitor and administer medications following program policies.
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation and laundry.
- Assist residents with daily living skills and treatment goals.
- Respond to emergencies and crisis situations.
- Transport residents to appointments and community resources.
- Collect urine samples and administer breathalyzer tests.
- Participate in staff meetings and training.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in human services, behavioral health, or substance use recovery preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to diverse populations.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
Training in DHS 83 preferred or to be completed after hire. Local travel may be required (approximately 25–50%).
