***Recovery Mentor - Community Engagement Team-Bend/Redmond***

Job Summary

Recovery Mentors are integral members of the SUD Treatment Team, supporting clients in recovery or early recovery stages. They assist clients in engaging with treatment services and provide recovery coaching.

Essential Functions

• Engages clients through regular phone contacts, reminders, and outreach efforts.
• Provides transportation to and from treatment services, detox, and residential treatment.
• Supports clients during activities and makes home visits with supervisor approval.
• Attends and participates in sober support meetings and activities.
• Maintains connections with clients in residential settings and assists with reengagement.
• Takes clients to 12-Step meetings and other sober activities.
• Assists with case management, referrals, and preparation/cleanup for groups.
• Provides individual, couples, and family support.
• Helps clinicians in groups and assists with back-up responsibilities.
• Encourages clients to participate in non-using recovery activities.
• Maintains accurate case notes and reports client participation to supervisor.
• Completes required forms and reports.

• Attends required meetings and completes training assignments.
• Maintains certifications and licenses.
• Performs tasks independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Personal lived experience with Substance Use Disorder and continuous recovery for at least two years.
• CRM-I certification or eligibility within six months of hiring.
• PSS or other THW certification or ability to obtain within six months of hiring.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within sixty days of hiring.
• Valid Oregon Driver License or ability to obtain one upon hire.

Prior training, experience, or knowledge of addiction treatment is preferred.
