Responsibilities
- Provide support to pregnant and postpartum patients enrolled in the Moms Do Care program and eligible patients in the pre-enrollment stage.
- Facilitate patient access to Medication Assisted Treatment options, recovery-oriented substance use disorder treatment, and the recovery community.
- Contribute to program development by sharing a perspective of lived experience and specialized training.
- Support participants through a perspective of lived experience and specialized training.
- Respond to emergency situations by temporarily assuming additional duties.
Qualifications
- Equal to completion of four years of high school or equivalent.
- Must possess and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
- Personal lived experience with a substance use disorder and currently living life in recovery from a substance use disorder. A minimum of 2 years in recovery required for this role.
- Experience with pregnancy/caregiving preferred.
- Knowledge of medication assisted treatment.
- Recovery Coach certification or willingness to complete Recovery Coach training within 6 months.
- Able to effectively communicate and work as a contributing member of the treatment team.
- Willingness to work with individuals in any stage of their recovery within a harm reduction framework.
- Recovery Coach Certification or willingness to complete within 6 months is required.
- Valid Driver License is required.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
