RECOVERY ANALYST (HYBRID OPTION)

About the role

The role of a Recovery Analyst is to recover funds on behalf of Medi-Cal (California’s Medicaid program) for members who were involved in personal injury actions, such as auto accidents, slip and falls, and premises liability. Under the supervision of the Supervisor I, the Recovery Analyst is responsible for maintaining an on-going caseload and recovering funds owed to Medi-Cal.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an on-going caseload and recover funds owed to Medi-Cal.
  • Work with third-party liability cases involving personal injury.
  • Ensure compliance with Medi-Cal program rules and regulations.
  • Communicate with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders regarding recovery matters.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for fund recovery.
  • Manage and update case files in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Understanding of the Medi-Cal Program, insurance claims, and/or medical billing or records.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking live with stakeholders via telephone or other means of communication.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
  • Innovative thinking.
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting procedures, policies, statutes, regulations, and/or legal documents.
  • Accounting, data reconciliation, and/or fiscal forecasting experience.
  • Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a related field, such as healthcare administration, finance, or law enforcement.
  • Experience working with personal injury claims and third-party liability.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Experience with Medi-Cal program rules and regulations.
