Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and assign all abuse reports received from the Florida Abuse Hotline.
- Follow up with the appropriate supervisory personnel to ensure they are aware of pending investigations and staff assignments.
- Print and review all abuse reports received from the Hotline and OTI requests called in from other counties.
- Coordinate with FAHIS, CIS, and FSFN systems to ensure accurate data retrieval and processing.
- Review appropriate databases for previous or open investigations and child/family involvement with other safety programs.
- Provide clerical support for a multi-function Family Safety Unit, including preparing intake case records and assigning cases to Child Protective Investigators.
- Package investigation information and conduct diligent searches.
- Maintain rotation and case logs, and archive case files.
