Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of organizational records, including creation, classification, storage, retrieval, and disposition in accordance with applicable policies
- Maintain accurate records inventories and file plans to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
- Track and manage customer property and equipment, ensuring accountability, proper documentation, and audit readiness
- Conduct periodic compliance audits of records and property management processes; identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Support Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests by locating, reviewing, and coordinating the release of responsive records
- Ensure adherence to IC records management policies, security requirements, and data handling procedures
- Cook up with internal stakeholders to improve records management systems, workflows, and property tracking processes
- Prepare reports and documentation for leadership, audits, and inspections
- Maintain documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide training or guidance to personnel as needed
Requirements
- A High School Diploma and eight (8) years of combined experience in the below OR a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Management, Business Administration, Records Management, or a related field and five (5) years of combined experience in:
- Records control and lifecycle management
- Property tracking and accountability
- Compliance audits
- Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) support
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Experience
- Certified Records Manager (CRM) or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of records management principles, retention schedules, and compliance frameworks
- Experience with electronic records management systems and property tracking tools
- Familiarity with FOIA processes and document review procedures
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain audit readiness
- Effective communication and coordination skills across teams and stakeholders
Pay
Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
