Reconstruction Sales Representative (Melbourne, FL)
About the role
As a Reconstruction Sales Representative based in Melbourne, Florida, you will play a critical role in advancing orthopaedic care across your territory. Responsibilities
- Acting as a technical consultant for the Orthopaedic Reconstruction portfolio, specialising in total joint reconstruction
- Converting new and existing accounts through effective sales calls, in-service support, and operating room case coverage
- Training and educating surgeons and clinical teams on Smith+Nephew products, technologies, and programs
- Building strong partnerships with orthopaedic and podiatric surgeons, hospitals, OR staff, SPD teams, and administrators
- Driving adoption of innovative solutions including the CORI robotic surgical and navigation system
- Developing and executing a territory business plan to grow revenue and meet or exceed sales targets
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Reconstruction and Sports Medicine partners to uncover growth opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years medical device sales experience, preferably within orthopaedics
- Demonstrated success selling and converting business at surgeon and hospital levels
- Strong relationship-building skills with surgeons, KOLs, and hospital stakeholders
- Able to work independently, manage a territory strategically, and deliver results
- Experience mentoring or supporting other sales professionals is preferred
Travel Requirements
Within the designated sales territory with 2 to 4 overnight stays per month. Infrequent national travel for meetings, events, and conferences.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
- Adherence to any established vaccine protocols as required by healthcare facilities
Skills
- Technical knowledge of orthopaedic reconstruction products
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
